Here on this large, rural property, our brief was to create a swimming paradise for kids, which also provides a backup water source of 500,000 litres for firefighting purposes – wonderful peace of mind when you own a rural property and rely on tank water. To achieve this, we designed a large 50 metre long and 15 wide pond. Hans the co-owner of Natural Pools designed and built a custom-made, and we think, pretty spectacular sauna. The craftsman ship is exquisite!
This large chemical-free swimming hole is set against breath-taking views, the surrounding hills and the ocean backdrop of Tasman Bay.
The pool is cleaned with a simple gravel filtration bed planted with aquatic plants and native grasses surrounding.
